Sustainability

Linen fabric is considered to be one of the most sustainable fabrics and is environment-friendly from the very beginning. It is made from flax plants, the cultivation of which requires far less pesticides, insecticides, and water when compared to highly popular cotton. The entire plant is used for making fabric and other products, like food, food supplements, oil, ropes, and more. Flax, if untreated with dye, is fully biodegradable. We are paying tribute to harmless flax cultivation and have created our own “Sustainable production and work policy”: The lowest possible CO2 footprint – almost all our fabrics are woven in Lithuania and surrounding countries. Finishing, sewing, and other processes are made within 100 km of our warehouse, production facility, and head office. It means there is not so much CO2 emitted during the production’s moving around.

WASTE MINIMAZATION

All fabrics are cut carefully and economically, so there are almost no leftovers after cutting. If a special product design produces some leftovers, we collect them and sell them as assorted linen remnants, or give them away to artisans who produce dolls, quilting, and other handmade products from linen.

HELP YOUR COMMUNITY

We are sponsoring several organizations and cultural events that are important for us and our community. We support:

  • “Red Noses Clowndoctors” – an arts organization that brings humor and laughter to hospitalized people in need of joy.
  • Non-Profit Organization “Artnews.lt” – an independent online magazine specializing in contemporary Lithuanian art, art book publisher, and organizer of a conference for contemporary art specialists “Three Uses of the Knife”.
  • Lithuanian Red Cross Society – a humanitarian organization, aiming to help maintain the life and dignity of seniors, orphans, and neglected people.
  • Blue/Yellow - a non-government organization supporting Ukraine’s soldiers and volunteers.
  • Ukrainian women's fund - an organization that supports women's/feminist organizations and works to promote gender equality in all areas.

REPAIR, REUSE, RECYCLE

This principle speaks for itself. If something breaks in our production or office daily life, we try to repair it. If someone doesn’t need something, we try to find a new purpose for that thing and if we have to throw something away – we recycle it.

ETHICAL AND EQUAL WORK ENNVIROMENT

We promote equality and respect in the workplace. That is why we provide a safe workspace, fair pay, and additional benefits to our team. Every day, we create and cherish an organizational culture that allows everyone to be heard, feel valuable, share their ideas, and feel purpose in their work.
